Announcing Our #GYOGardener Photo Contest!

It’s already almost week four of The Dirt on Dirt’s GYO Month. Can you believe it? We’ve gone through three weeks of product specials, giveaways, and GYO tips, and for next week, we want to hand the gardening gloves over to you!

Between Monday, August 21st and Friday, August 25th, The Dirt on Dirt invites you to join our #GYOGardener photo contest! Here’s how it works. Choose your best picture(s) showcasing your GYO abilities – be it a plant or vegetable you’re proud of, a glimpse into your garden, or some of your favorite GYO gardening products – and share it to our Facebook page or your Twitter or Instagram account tagging us (@TheDirtOnDirt) and using the hashtag #GYOGardener. At the end of the week, we’ll select our winner for a special GYO prize pack!

But it won’t just be us judging the best or most creative GYO photo. Our contest will be guest judged by none other than Matt Mattus, author of award-winning gardening blog, Growing with Plants. Matt’s greenhouse and gardens have been featured in many popular magazines, blogs, and books, including Martha Stewart Living, House & Garden, and Better Homes & Gardens. Matt clearly has an incredible eye for what makes a beautiful garden, and we’re excited to have him on board to help choose our winner!

So, grab your cameras and share your favorite gardening shots with us! You can enter as many times as you like. Be sure to invite your family and friends to like our social media pages and join the fun! See you on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!

Rules:

  • The photo contest is open to all ages, but we will select a winner who is located in the US to ship a prize package to. Our apologies to all international gardening enthusiasts – we still invite you to join the fun!
  • By submitting your photo, you are giving us permission to utilize it, with appropriate credits attached, on any and all The Dirt on Dirt communications, including but not limited to social media, blogs, and press releases.
  • Participants are welcome to submit as many entries as they would like.
  • Only those photos with the hashtag #GYOGardener will be considered for judging.
